Oakland Institutions

Investing in deep-rooted, youth-serving Oakland organizations

The Rogers Family Foundation seeks to fund best-in-class organizations that have deep roots in their communities and provide excellent, community-based youth development programing to large numbers of Oakland students. We have termed these organizations “Oakland Institutions” to reflect their permanence in Oakland and commitment to ensuring all Oakland youth have access to meaningful enrichment opportunities that engage and develop their diverse talents, skills, and interests. Investing in these organizations balances our need to accomplish specific goals with with our desire to support the high-quality programs that round out and anchor students in their education. We share a belief with these organizations in the potential of Oakland students and the power of providing youth with opportunities that help them realize and build their talents.
