In the spirit of improving communities across the Bay Area, we have compiled the following list of other funders whose grant making priorities cross a broad spectrum. We welcome you to share updates on the funders listed below and/or provide the name of additional funders. Oakland Fund for Children & Youth provides strategic funding to support Oakland's children and youth from birth to 21 years of age to become healthy, happy, educated, engaged, powerful and loved community members. Accepting RFPs again in late 2021.
PG&E Corporation and Pacific Gas and Electric Company ("PG&E") are dedicated to building better communities for their employees and customers with a program of charitable giving that addresses critical social, educational and environmental challenges, helping to ensure a safe and prosperous future for all Californians.
Cowell’s work is organized around a place-based grantmaking strategy that supports communities where residents, service providers, educators and civic leaders work together to improve the quality of life for children and families. Please call S. H. Cowell Foundation before sending proposals.
San Francisco Foundation's mission is to mobilize resources and act as a catalyst for change to build strong communities, foster civic leadership, and promote philanthropy in the San Francisco Bay Area. Together with community leaders, nonprofits, and donors, SFF is committed to advancing racial equity and economic inclusion to ensure that everyone in the Bay Area has a chance to attend a good school, get a good job, live in a safe and affordable home, and have a strong political voice.
The Severns Family Foundation's mission is to support Northern California community needs in the areas of education and environmental awareness. Invited applicants are required to submit a letter of inquiry briefly describing the project before submitting a full proposal.

The mission of the Sobrato Family Foundation is to support low-income residents in Silicon Valley who seek stability and opportunities for upward mobility.
The Stuart Foundation's vision is to see effective education systems in California and Washington that provide opportunities for all students to learn, achieve, and thrive. Primarily working through public education systems, the Foundation promotes strategies that nurture students to be self-reliant, succeed in education and careers, and engage meaningfully in their communities. The Teichert Foundation grants to organizations that create beauty, foster culture, nurture children, provide access to food and housing for those in need, preserve nature, increase awareness of our environment, build an educated citizenry and a well-prepared workforce, and strive to provide better health for all.
The Bernard Osher Foundation makes grants and endowment gifts to colleges, universities, and other non-profit organizations in four program areas: post-secondary scholarships, lifelong learning institutes for seasoned adults, select integrative medicine programs, and arts and educational organizations.
