The James Irvine Foundation's singular goal is to have a California where all low-income workers have the power to advance economically. The Foundation invests in leaders and organizations that can address the daunting situation our state faces (before the fallout of COVID-19 and as we work to rebuild after it). They are not accepting unsolicited inquiries for their initiatives or current grantmaking.

The Walter S. Johnson Foundation assists transition-aged foster and other vulnerable youth in Northern California and Nevada, to become successful adults. A letter of inquiry is requested prior to a full proposal submission. The Walter S. Johnson Foundation does not accept unsolicited proposals.

Their safety net, legacy, and mission-related special grantmaking areas are not open to unsolicited letters of inquiry.
The Y & H Soda Foundation supports nonprofit and Catholic organizations committed to the full participation and prosperity of the underserved in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties.
